Ryan P. Casey is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and dance writer who was named in 2015 as one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” and one of Boston’s “25 Most Innovative People Under 25.” In addition to his solo work, he has danced for Michelle Dorrance, Aaron Tolson, Billy Siegenfeld, Lorraine Chapman, and Adrienne Hawkins. As an educator, he has worked for colleges, festivals, studios, and arts programs throughout the country and with the Juilliard Summer Performing Arts program in Switzerland. He has presented work throughout the Northeast with his company, Off Beat, including the Inside/Out series at Jacob’s Pillow, 92nd Street Y, and Bridgewater State University. A frequent contributor to Dance Magazine and Dance Studio Life Magazine, Ryan is also a proud Capezio Athlete. Formerly on faculty with Boston University and the University of Connecticut Tap Team, Ryan is an alumnus of New York University’s Gallatin School, The School at Jacob’s Pillow, Legacy Dance Company, and the National YoungArts Foundation. He teaches at The Dance Inn, where he trained under Thelma Goldberg & Kelly Kaleta, and Impulse Dance Center. He recently earned a grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts and was published in the Journal of Dance Education.
