Julia Boynton performed in Brian Jones' All-Tap Revue, Heather Cornell's Manhattan Tap, and co-founded StopTime, a N.E. jazz-tap quartet.
She's travelled as a guest teacher to Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, and nationally, to the New Orleans Center for the Performing Arts; Florida Dance Festival; Boston College; and Brandeis University. She's been on the faculties of the Jazz Project at Jacob's Pillow; the Dance Program at Harvard; Harvard Summer Dance Center, MIT Theater Arts; the Dance Department at Emerson College; the Dance and Theater Divisions at Boston Conservatory at Berklee; the Leon Collins Studio and the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio.
From 2003-2007 Julia presented monthly tap jams and workshops featuring a variety of visiting guest teachers and musicians. She was co-founding director of Boston Percussive Dance from 2009 - 2014 and currently teaches ongoing classes through Julia On Tap located at the Deborah Mason School of Dance.
Julia is producing her tenth tap festival this year.
