Adult Tapophile (noun): adult lovers of all things tap

The Adult Tapophile Community consists of adults who are serious tap students and rabid consumers and supporters of professional tap dance. These adults crave rhythm in their lives and carve out a significant piece of their lives for tap dance. They are dedicated in their pursuit of tap dance training and love sharing this pursuit with each other. The ATC is a vibrant presence in our local tap community. They are the people you might see tapping in their sneakers at the crosswalk as they wait for the light to change or paddle and rolling behind a shopping cart in aisle three.

Monday - Thursday August 15 - 18

Four days with eight great teachers: Michelle Dorrance, Barbara Duffy, Sean Fielder, Joshua Hilberman, Holbrook & Howell, Max Pollak, Aaron Tolson and Dianne Walker. Students will work intensively with teachers for four consecutive days on a piece of choreography or improvisation. The four-day course gives students the opportunity to explore a particular dancer's style and approach to tap dance choreography or improvisation. The groups (with the exception of Improvisation course) will perform the newly-learned pieces in an informal studio presentation. The course is geared to adults but all are welcome. Which level is right for me?
