Michelle Dorrance
Michelle Dorrance — is one of the most sought after tap dancers of her generation. Michelle, who was recently nominated for a Bessie Award, teaches, choreographs and performs throughout the US and abroad, is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center and performs with the New York City cast of Off-Broadway sensation, STOMP.

Barbara Duffy
Barbara Duffy — is “one of the most inventive tappers around... ”, said the late Gregory Hines. Barbara’s performance highlights include: The Gregory Hines Show where she was a featured dancer, actress and choreographer; Gala for the President, performing with Gregory Hines before President and Mrs. Bill Clinton; and as dance captain and featured dancer in Brenda Bufalino’s American Tap Dance Orchestra. Barbara performs as a featured soloist across the United States and overseas, including London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, where she was hailed as “a riveting performer” by the Independent. Her all-women ensemble, Barbara Duffy & Company, has performed at the Duke Theatre, NYC; the Joyce Theater, NYC; Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, NYC; the University of Richmond; the Tanz Haus Theatre in Dusseldorf, Germany; Jacob’s Pillow and with Tap City On Tour. A highly sought after teacher, Barbara has taught at numerous workshops and festivals in 20 countries. When not on the road, Barbara teaches classes in New York City at Broadway Dance Center and Steps On Broadway. Her greatest inspirations are Brenda Bufalino, the late Leon Collins and the late Gregory Hines.

Sean Fielder
Sean Fielder — grew up in Boston MA and has been tapping for 30 years. He is founder & artistic director of Boston Tap Company and creator of the "Rhythm In The Night". He performed a lead role on the first national tour of the multiple Tony award winning Broadway show "Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk"; performed for First Lady Hillary Clinton, Jay Leno (New Years Eve 1999) and the American heart Association Tour with Debbie Allen and Dick Clark; won opening act for the Radio City Rocketts at the Wang Center Boston; danced in Missey Elliot's award winning video "Da Rain" and coordinates Boston Tap Company Street Performances. The popular Boston Tap Company, now in its fourth year, has performed at a variety of noteworthy venues: Jacob's Pillow 2008 & 2010; MASS MoCA; Gillette Stadium; Fenway Park; The Duke Ellington Theatre, Washington DC; and is now in the process of running its 9th installment of "Rhythm in the Night" which sold out all of its eight previous performances. Sean is known for his appealing, edgy style. His motto is: “The Only Way To Be Different Is To Be Yourself."

Joshua Hilberman
Joshua Hilberman — has been creating and performing original theatrical productions in New England and around the world for over 20 years. A unique solo performer groomed by tap and vaudeville stars of the 1930's, his touring experience includes "Fascinating Rhythms," three seasons with Manhattan Tap, Tap City on Tour, and three seasons in Germany with Thomas Marek's "About Tap." Recognized with the National Endowment for the Arts/Dance USA National College Choreography Initiative Award, and with the 2009 Presidential Scholars Teachers Recognition Award, Hilberman was artist-in-residence for the 2010 season with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks. Charlie Holbrook
Charlie Holbrook — has many years of teaching experience and is currently on the faculty of Dean College, Franklin School of the Performing Arts, American Academy of Dance, the Cathy Taylor & Krylo Dance Studios. He has taught Master Classes for Dance Masters of America, University of Rhode island, Northern Alliance of Dance and the Boston Conservatory. Charlie has appeared at the Bonanza Hotel, Las Vegas, WJAR-TV and WBZ-TV Jimmy Fund, Heart Fund, and Leukemia Society Telethons. He has appeared in Showboat-the Musical, Magic Shoppe, and American Festival Ballet. Charlie is a graduate of Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston, Dance Educators Program and former member of P.D.T.A. He has taken classes and studied the tap disciplines of Jack Stanley, Henry LeTang, Danny Hoctor, Ron Daniels, Roye Dodge, Jimmy Sutton, Dean Barlow, Bob Audy, Gregory Hines, Diane Walker, Sam Webber, Savion Glover, Jason Samuels Smith and Brill Barrett.

Nancy Howell
Nancy Howell — formerly owned and operated her own studio in Western Massachusetts. She has taught at the Boston Conservatory, and the Dance Inn, Lexington. Nancy taught the Exquisite Soft Shoe Choreography of Pete Nugent to the teachers of the 2009 Tap City Festival in New York City. Nancy has performed in many venues, most recently, she was honored to perform at the 2009 induction of her mentor, Pete Nugent, into the Tap Dance Hall of Fame held at Lincoln Center, New York City. As well as Pete Nugent, Nancy has studied with Sue Ronson, Josh Hilberman and Julia Boynton. She continues to study her love of tap at Master classes and festivals and is grateful for the Boston tap community.

Rocky Mendes
Rocky Mendes — has been studying tap dance since he was nine years old. He was 16 and studying dance at the Whitman Academy of Performing Arts when his mother took him to meet their neighbor, Jimmy Slyde. The older man took the younger under his wing and the two became friends. The pair were awarded an MCC Traditional Arts Apprenticeship in 2001 and again 2007. Jimmy reflected on his extensive work with Rocky, "He's a joyful young man and I think he's worth every minute of it." Mendes has gone on to perform with Diane Walker and Gregory Hines, appearing at Williams College, Florida State University, New England Conservatory and Jacob's Pillow. Rocky currently teaches at the Boston Arts Academy and the White Academy of Performing Arts.

Aaron Tolson
Aaron Tolson — is a native of Manchester, NH and a graduate of St. John's University, and has been tapping for 22 years. He is the co-creator and producer of Imagine Tap!, a full-length tap show he created with Derick Grant. He is a consultant and writer for Dance Spirit Magazine and on the Dance Faculty at Plymouth State University and the Boston Conservatory. Other credits include: Six years with Riverdance on tour and on Broadway (featured soloist and dance captain); funk U!; Manhattan Tap; Absolut Tap; and founding director of New England Tap Ensemble. Aaron is co-director of Tap2You, a dance competition dedicated to the art of tap dancing.

Dianne Walker
Dianne Walker — A performer in the Tony Award-winning Black and Blue, Dianne Walker had the prestigious honor of being the only female in its famed Hoofers Line. Her film credits include the movie Tap and PBS Great Performances: Tap Dance in America. A pioneer in the resurgence of tap dancing, she is recipient of the Living Treasure in American Dance Award from Oklahoma City University, the Tapestry Award for teaching excellence, and the United States Artists Rose Fellow for 2008. Walker is a featured soloist at clubs and festivals world-wide and is Director of the newly launched Tap Program at Jacob’s pillow as well as Artistic Director of TapDancin' Inc.

Lauren O'Donnell
Lauren O'Donnell — Lauren began studying flamenco dance in 2002 in a workshop with Omayra Amaya. She made many Chinatown bus pilgrimages to New York to spend weekends taking class with Omayra. Since 2006 Lauren has performed regularly in Boston, including frequent shows at Bar Lola. Lauren spent much of 2008 studying in Sevilla, Spain with a wonderful dancer and teacher, Alicia Marquez. In 2009 she performed in and produced the show Tablao Flamenco with Antonio Arrebola, Ricardo Diaz, and Vicente Griego.

Max Pollak
Max Pollak — named one of the "25 to Watch in 2007" by Dance Magazine, was inspired by the virtuosic footwork displayed by many of the greats in American film, and most importantly, jazz music. A native of Austria who has lived in New York since 1991, he received his most important training in the conservatories, clubs, and streets of New York City and Havana. An experienced musician who performs, teaches, and choreographs worldwide, Max is the first artist ever to merge authentic Afro-Cuban dance and music with tap and have it recorded on CD. He has established the first ever tap venture in Havana, Cuba called “RumbaTap”, and has worked with Ray Brown, Danilo Perez, Muñequitos de Matanzas, Chucho Valdez, Gregory Hines, and Jimmy Slyde, among others. He has appeared on Broadway in Tamango’s Urban Tap, and toured the globe with Manhattan Tap, Feet 2 The Beat, Cool Heat-Urban Beat, Tap City on Tour and Beat The Donkey. Max is the 2008 recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Choreography.

Mishay Petronelli
Mishay Petronelli — "Mishay isn’t just a well-rounded dancer—she’s a chameleon. Hip hop, contemporary, ballet, commercial, tap: She does it all. The musicality of tap seeps into her contemporary; the dynamism of her contemporary makes her untouchable in a hip-hop combo. And all of this makes her a choreographer’s dream." -- Dance Spirit Magazine, June 1, 2011 Mishay has performed in Whitney Houston’s music video for “Million Dollar Bill,” on “Saturday Night Live” with Kanye West and in Dana Foglia’s shows VATIC and Cy.clo.thy.mi.a. She's taught at award winning studios around the United States and is on faculty for competitions such as DanceXplosion, Rising Star, and Ticket to Broadway. Mishay has also taught at World Dance Movement in Italy and is now teaching at Broadway Dance Center in NYC.

Shannon Sullivan
Shannon Sullivan — began her formal dance training at the New Jersey School of Ballet. It was there, through the instruction of Margaret Morrison, that she was first introduced to rhythm tap dance. Shannon has continued her training with such masters as Julia Boynton, Brenda Bufalino, Barbara Duffy, Josh Hilberman, Pamela Raff and Lynn Schwab. In addition to her tap dancing, Shannon has a B.M. in Music Education with a concentration in trumpet and a Masters of Music Education from Gordon College. She is well known for incorporating this formal music training into her rhythm tap classes. Currently, Shannon performs and teaches both music and dance in regularly in the Boston and North Shore areas.

Nicholas Young
Nicholas Young — began his professional dance career with Tapestry Dance Company under the direction of Acia Gray and Deirdre Strand. Moving to principle dancer and resident choreographer he spent more than 10 years with the company. Moving to New York, he began working with local tap dancers and musicians on various projects including Manhattan Tap, Hoofin' to Hittin', Beat the Donkey and Rumba Tap. Nicholas joined the Off Off Broadway production of STOMP in 2002 and is currently a performer and the rehearsal director for the American tour. Nicholas has taught master classes for the Soul to Sole, Third Coast Rhythm Project and the Saint Louis Tap Festivals among others. He would like to thank his mother for constant support and inspiration through art.
